Gressenhall Community Car Scheme
Just recently I have had to use the community car scheme for both myself and my wife on several occasions, sometimes at very short notice and l felt I just had to say what a wonderful service they provide. I found the volunteers to be understanding, patient and obliging. Using this service took away all stress of having to find alternative transport and somewhere to park.
I cannot praise them enough especially Anne Maskell who organises this wonderful service.

Gressenhall Community Car Scheme

Volunteer Drivers Needed Urgently – Help Keep Our Community Moving

Our Community transport scheme is at risk of becoming unsustainable due to a shortage of volunteer drivers.  Without more help, we may have to reduce the vital journeys we provide for local residents who rely on us to get to medical appointments.

We’re urgently looking for volunteer drivers who can spare a few hours to support people in our community who would otherwise struggle to get around.

What’s involved:

Driving local residents to GP, hospital, dental appointments

Using your own car (mileage expenses reimbursed)

Volunteering at times that suit your availability

What you’ll get:

The chance to make a real difference locally

Flexible volunteering

Even a couple of hours a week can help keep this essential service running.
